7K!

YAY!! This morning I ran 7K! It wasn't too bad at all! I mean, it certainly wasn't easy, but I didn't think I was going to die, either. Yay! I have to run 4K this week on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday, and then 8K on Sunday. The next week, we start hill training. EEEK!

This afternoon I went to see Run, Fat Boy, Run. It was really funny and cute. And REALLY gross in one spot involving a HUGE blister. Yuk!

SNOW!!

Will winter EVER go away?!?!?!? It's snowing AGAIN! Yuk!!

BUT I bought some new running capris at Costco today (and a tank top) so I'm in a spring mood, even if the weather won't cooperate. Yesterday was another 4K run. It was slow and painful. I didn't wear my orthotics, just to see what would happen. Not a good idea. My knees and ankles are so sore today. But at least now I know they are actually helping, even if they are very uncomfortable. Tomorrow is LSD day!! (Long, slow distance) We are doing 7K. EEK! Actually, 6K last week wasn't bad at all, so I'm not that worried. I just hope the weather is nicer!

I'm getting so excited for the Not Since Moses run!! I made our reservations at an inn in Parrsboro for the night before the run. Me and 3 girls from my clinic are going: Dawn, Alison, and Melanie B. It should be a blast!! I'm just really worried about those stairs on the island!!!

29:12!!

Tonight was a 4K run and I decided I wanted to do it in 30 minutes or less, so I can work towards my goal of doing my next 5K in 35 minutes or less. So, I ran 4K in 29:12!!! Yay!! I was just about dying and felt like throwing up afterwards, but at least I did it! I have another 4K run tomorrow night. I'm not sure if I'll push myself quite so much tomorrow night....depends how I feel. If I'm really sore from today, I'll just take it easy (or easiER anyway). But hopefully I won't be too sore. We ran on the trail tonight, thank goodness! I prefer running on the trail rather than the streets (even though I missed the occaisional red light...although then I wouldn't have made my time, though). I even saw an otter! And managed to tell the people behind me, even though I could hardly breathe from running so hard!

Well, it's been a while since I posted. I've been having lots of problems with my feet and legs hurting. My new orthotics are taking a LOOOOONG time to get used to! I think I'm finally deciding they aren't so bad, however I think they cut them a little too short as my toes hang over the end of them. Back to the store I shall go on Saturday and see what they say.

I started my 10K clinic last week. So far, so good! I ran last night (3K) and tonight (4K) and they both went pretty well. They were a struggle, especially tonight, but I finished upright and smiling!! No running tomorrow night, but another 3K on Friday and then 6K on Sunday...eeek!! That will be the farthest I've ever run at once!!!
